Products Usage | Used with cupper base or nickel base filler metal, copper brazing flux powder can braze copper, copper alloy, carbon steel, steel alloy, stainless steel, Tungsten carbide, etc. It can be applied in the brazing methods of furnace brazing, torch brazing, and high frequency brazing |
Preparations | The surface of the work pieces should be cleansed carefully before brazing. The performance of the flux can be optimized on a surface without oxide and oil. In flame brazing, neutral flame is usually required |
Operations | One option is to make the powder mixed with hot water to be creamy, while the other option is to dip the filler metal wire in the powder. Operator should try not to heat the filler metal and the flux directly by the flame |
Post Treatments | The residue is glassy solid attached on the work pieces. Usually it can be sanded off. The more convenient method is to merge the hot work pieces into cold water after the solidification of the filler metal. The residue can fall off the surfaces because of the sudden boiling of water. Partial component in the residue can be dissolved into the water. In this method, the temperature difference between the cold water and the work pieces should be cautiously controlled to prevent the shaping and cracking of the work pieces |
